Stroke is not common in pregnancy or during the years women can have children. But pregnancy does put women at higher risk for stroke, and the rate of pregnancy-related stroke is rising, says the US CDC; in the US 7% of pregnancy deaths happen due to stroke. A new study has found a link between stroke and pregnancy.
